Hi! My name is Laura and thank you so much for taking the time to have a look at my very first blog post. To start things off, I’ll tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a newlywed from Perth, Western Australia, and my number one hobby is of course, reading. I’m also interested in art, photography, and pretty much anything creative.

What brought me to book blogging was the bookstagram community. For those who don’t know, “bookstagram” is basically a sub culture of Instagram in which users enjoy photographing and discussing books. I’ve been bookstagramming for close to a year now, and one thing I’ve discovered, is that I absolutely love interacting with other readers. I’m a pretty hardcore introvert, so this was actually quite a surprise to me. As much as I hate making small talk, I’ve come to really enjoy discussing favourite books, TBR lists, upcoming releases and anything book related. So I figured I’d expand my online bookish presence and start a blog! I’m planning on sharing reviews, lists, and just book related opinions in general.

One thing that you guys should know though, is that I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT I’M DOING. Up until half an hour ago I’d never used WordPress before, the only thing close to blogging experience I’ve had is using Tumblr. And let’s face it, all I ever did on Tumblr was look at gifs of cute animals. So please be patient with me as I start to learn my way around WordPress. I’m not a complete technophobe, but like I said, I’m new to this whole blogging thing. So, if you have any tips or suggestions, feel free to let me know in the comments!
